Dr. Cary Williams
Specialist in Orthodontics
Dr. Williams holds a doctorate of dental
medicine (D.M.D.) and has provided orthodontic care in Tampa for
over twenty-five years.
An honors graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry,
Dr. Williams served in the U.S. Navy as a general dentist. Afterwards,
he continued his education at the University of Kentucky to obtain
his master’s degree and specialty certificate in orthodontics.
Dr.
Williams is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics
and has earned the distinction of eligiblity for the American
Board of Orthodontics. He has served as chairman of the Hillsborough
County Children’s Dental Health Program, on the Cleft Palate
Team, as president of the Carrollwood Rotary Club, and as an
elder of his church.

Van R Speas, DDS MS
The Tampa Orthodontic Specialty practice of Dr. Cary A. Williams is
pleased to announce Van R. Speas, DDS, MS has joined Dr. Williams in
providing orthodontic treatment for adults and children.
Dr. Speas has been in orthodontic practice for over 20 years and
has been a devoted teacher and practitioner in the treatment of facial
defects (such as cleft palate) on an international basis. Although
Dr. Speas practiced mainly in southwest Florida, he has also shared
his skills on an international basis in Switzerland, Vietnam, Kenya,
Israel and the Philippines.
After achieving his dental degree at Northwest University (Chicago),
Dr. Speas continued his training there to attain an Orthodontic Specialty
Certificate as well as a Masters Degree in Orthodontics. In addition
to Board Certification in the American Board of Orthodontics, he
is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American
Dental Association and Florida Dental Society.
Jenny, New Patient Coordinator
A native of Tampa, Jenny has been involved with the orthodontic profession since 1976. She is trained as an Assistant and has worked with Dr. Cary Williams to create appealing smiles for many years. Her knowledge of the stages of orthodontic treatment, combined with her warm personality, make Jenny a great team member for new patients.
Dr. Williams states, “Jenny gives each patient such personalized attention and has a way of brightening the day of those around her. She believes that orthodontics should be a positive experience to achieving an optimal smile and strives to provide that foundation for every individual.”
When not in her role as New Patient Coordinator, Jenny enjoys involvement in church activities and spending time with her two children and three grandchildren.
